Its streets exhibit typical buildings, some attractive ones such as the Bishop’s House ( Casa del Obispo), which is a tall one-story building that served as a summer home for the dwellers of the Tenerife Diocese.
Among the arts and crafts of this region, the most notable are the lacework, macramé, and rosettes. Also good wines, characteristic of these highlands, are harvested; the most notable being the white wines.
Among the local festivities, the most notable are those of San Roque and San Agustín, on the 28 th of August. The Festivities of Hermano Pedro are celebrated on the 25 th of April.
